Rhonda has been a registered nurse for over 25 years. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, pediatric and critical care nurse.  She maintains an active clinical practice and has rounding privileges at many institutions. She has been trained to program deep brain stimulators, vagal nerve stimulators and baclofen pumps.  The Austin Advanced Practice Nurses named her the 2014 recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award for clinical excellence, nursing leadership and patient advocacy.  She has many years of teaching experience and maintains membership in several nursing organizations and currently serves on the Texas Nurses Association executive board.
